Overview
The Reels Scripting skill is a custom Claude skill built to reverse-engineer high-performing Instagram Reels and turn their structure into a brand-new script, tuned to your own voice and built from your own newsletter content. Instead of guessing what makes a Reel work, this skill scrapes and analyzes a reference Reel in detail, then applies the same proven patterns to your topic. It's designed to bridge the gap between "this Reel went viral" and "here's a script that applies the same logic to my content."

How it works
- Provide the reference Reel. Share an Instagram Reel URL directly, or reference a Reel already saved in your Notion outlier reels database.
- Skill scrapes and analyzes the Reel. Using Apify, the Reel is scraped, then sent to Gemini 2.5 Flash for a full transcript along with hook and structural analysis.
- Patterns are extracted the hook style, pacing, and content structure that made the original Reel perform well.
- A new script is written. Using your newsletter content as the source material, the skill writes a new script, applying the same proven patterns, but in your own voice and about your own topic.
- You get a ready-to-record script, structured and paced to match what's already proven to work.

How to use it
- Trigger the skill in Claude (/reels-scripting) or say "script a reel"
- Paste an Instagram Reel URL, or reference a Notion-saved Reel
- Specify the newsletter topic/content you want to repurpose
- Review the generated script (hook, structure, and pacing based on the reference Reel)
- Use it to record your own Reel
